Air-Basic (worldwide patent protected plant ITMI20010049) is the latest plant for producing air bubble film for packaging. It is the result of twenty years of experience and careful study of the production system using the latest technologies. The plant merges the highest production flexibility (the plant can be stopped with the film that remains still inside with no meltings), low power consumption and finally low retail price, while keeping the characteristics of reliability and efficiency intact, formerly features of the Torninova models.
Its special features enable problems inherent to marketing the product to be solved, which, although growing strongly, is affected by inventory costs, transportation and energy consumption. Besides, thanks to the ease of use and the versatility of the plant, a single operator can produce multi-layer bubble film coupled with other materials and bubbles of different sizes by changing the type of production in minutes, without wasting material at restart. The plant is fully automated with PLC management allowing various parameters to be inserted via the touch screen keyboard, such as the amount of meters to be produced in each roll, the production speed, trimming period, operating temperature, the speed of each engine for hauling the material.
